Bellows compensator can be used for flexible connection between storage tank and pipeline. In recent years, the storage tanks in oil fields, oil depots, and chemical plants have become larger and larger. Due to the limitation of geological conditions, the natural subsidence of the foundation causes the location changes of the storage tanks and the inlet and outlet pipelines, which is easy to form damage to the connecting pipelines and tank walls. Therefore, corrugated contraction joints or pneumatic butterfly valves are installed in the inlet and outlet pipelines of the storage tanks to compensate for the displacement. A small pull rod type (multiple universal type) corrugated contraction joint is installed in the outlet pipeline of the storage tank. It can not only absorb the axial displacement caused by the thermal contraction of the pipeline, but also compensate the lateral displacement caused by the tank bottom subsidence, avoid the damage of the pipeline and the tank wall, and also has a certain anti shock and seismic effect.
The bellows compensator is used as a flexible coupling pipe for the pump on the inlet and outlet pipelines of the pump. Universal (i.e. universal) contraction joints are installed on the inlet and outlet pipelines of the pump to compensate for the thermal contraction of the pipeline, reduce the thrust of the pipeline thermal contraction on the pump, or absorb the vibration caused by the pump operation.
