Viscoelastic damping material
The commonly used viscoelastic material is the composite damping composed of high molecular polymers, such as neoprene, silicone, PVC, epoxy resin adhesive and foam plastic.
If viscoelastic materials are coated on the metal sheet, the strength of bending vibration of the metal can be reduced. When the bending vibration of metal occurs, its vibration energy is quickly transferred to the damping material closely attached to the thin plate, causing friction and mutual dislocation within the damping material. Due to the large internal loss and internal friction of damping materials, a considerable part of the vibration energy of the metal plate is dissipated into heat energy, which weakens the bending vibration of the plate, and can shorten the vibration time of the plate after being excited, thereby reducing the energy of the radiation noise of the metal plate and achieving the purpose of noise reduction.
2. Damping metal
Damping metal, also known as damping alloy, can be used as a structural material to directly replace the parts with strong vibration and sound in machinery, and can also be made into a damping layer and pasted on the vibrating parts to achieve the effect of vibration reduction and noise reduction.
