It consists of the following parts: pressure cylinder, piston rod, piston, seal guide sleeve, filler (inert gas or oil gas mixture), control elements inside the cylinder and outside the cylinder (referred to as controllable gas butterfly valve) and valves. The working principle is to fill the closed pressure cylinder with inert gas or oil gas mixture, so that the pressure in the chamber is several times or dozens of times higher than the atmospheric pressure. The movement of the piston rod is realized by using the pressure difference generated by the cross-sectional area of the piston rod being less than the cross-sectional area of the piston. Because of the fundamental difference in principle, air butterfly valves have significant advantages over ordinary butterfly valves: relatively slow speed, little dynamic force change (generally within 1:1.2), and easy control; The disadvantage is that the size is smaller than the screw butterfly valve, the cost is high, and the service life is relatively short.
