Nanchang High speed Railway Station, also known as Nanchang West Station, is located in Jiulonghu District, Honggutan District, Jiangxi Province, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, covering an area of about 259000 square meters. It is currently a major passenger station of Nanchang Railway Bureau, one of the six major railway stations in East China, and one of the leading transportation hubs in Asia during construction.
Nanchang West Railway Station serves Shanghai Kunming High speed Railway, Xiangpu Railway (departure station), Changjiu Intercity Railway, and Changji Jiangxi Passenger Dedicated Line. It seamlessly connects with Nanchang Metro and connects with Nanchang Station in the east. It is a large comprehensive transportation hub integrating ordinary railway, high-speed railway, suburban railway, urban rail transit, public transportation, taxi and other municipal transportation facilities. The station has high-speed railway lines, bus express lines and airport bus lines to realize seamless transfer. As a "gateway station", Nanchang West Railway Station, together with Nanchang Station of Beijing Kowloon Railway, will further strengthen the position of Nanchang as a transportation hub. And it is seamlessly connected with Nanchang Metro Line. The total building area of Nanchang West Railway Station is 258900 square meters, including 114000 square meters of station buildings, which are divided into four floors: elevated waiting floor, platform floor, underground transfer hall, and subway track floor. The mode of "up in and down out" is adopted, and the passenger traffic volume per hour can reach 8000 people.
