What are the causes of pump vibration
1. The manufacturing process of the water pump is not up to standard: the rotor is unbalanced; The pump and motor shafts are not concentric; Collision or friction between rotor and stator;
2. Due to long service time, the water pump is worn and aged: the impeller is loose; Bearing damage or large bearing clearance;
3. There are sundries in the water pump inlet pipe, impeller and pump; The water pump is not fixed firmly with the foundation, and resonance strengthening phenomenon occurs;
4. When the water pump is working to promote the water flow, the accompanying vortex and cavitation will inevitably produce vibration;
Generally, pneumatic butterfly valves are required to reduce vibration and noise of water pumps. There are several types: low-frequency composite shock absorbers, damping ball valve shock absorbers, and shear vibration isolation pads. At present, the first two are more widely used.

1. The damping elements shall be symmetrically arranged according to the central axis of the pump unit.
The plane layout of the damping pad can be arranged clockwise or counterclockwise.
2. When six supporting points are used for the vibration damping elements of the unit, four of them shall be arranged at the four corners of the inertia block or section steel frame, and the other two shall be arranged on the long side line, and their positions shall be adjusted to keep the compression deformation of the vibration damping elements as consistent as possible.
3. When installing vibration damping pad or ball damper for horizontal pump unit, in general, the vibration damping pad and ball damper need not be bonded or fixed to the ground, or to the inert block or steel frame.
4. When shock absorber is used for vibration reduction installation of vertical water pump unit, it is appropriate to set a steel frame under the base of the water pump unit and adopt anchoring installation; The section steel base and the shock absorber shall be fixed with bolts (with ball valve washers). The foundation bolts are set in the ground or floor, and the shock absorber is fixed on the ground or floor through the foundation bolts.
5. The side line of the damping pad shall not exceed the side line of the inert block; The bearing area of the section steel frame shall not be less than that of the top of the damping element.
6. The damping pad shall be arranged in a single layer. If the frequency ratio cannot meet the requirements, multi-layer series arrangement can be adopted, but the number of damping pad layers should not be more than five. The model, number, area and hardness of each layer of vibration isolation pads set in series shall be completely consistent.
7. The pad and steel plate are bonded with adhesive. The plane size of galvanized steel plate shall be 10mm larger than each end of damping pad. Damping pads bonded on the upper and lower layers of galvanized steel plate shall be staggered.
8. Before construction and installation, it shall be checked in time. During installation, the static compression deformation of the damping element shall not exceed the maximum allowable value.
9. When installing the pump unit, the supporting ground for installing the pump unit shall be flat and have sufficient bearing capacity.
