2. In the suspension stretching stroke (the stroke that the axle is relatively far away from the frame), the assembling force of the shock absorber should be large, so as to reduce the vibration quickly;
3. When the relative speed between the axle (or wheel) and the frame is too high, the shock absorber should be able to automatically increase the cross-sectional area of the fluid flow channel to keep the damping force within a certain limit, so as to avoid bearing excessive impact loads.
At present, two-way acting cylinder shock absorbers are widely used in automobiles. The shock absorbers that can reduce vibration in both the tightening and stretching strokes are called two-way acting shock absorbers. Another kind of shock absorber only works during the stretching stroke. It is called one-way shock absorber.
