First of all, the generator set damping ball valve damper is used to reduce or eliminate the periodic vibration or instantaneous impact caused by the irregular flow scale of the medium, wind force, water hammer (or steam hammer), earthquake and other reasons of the pipeline through the valve, the stiffness of the ball valve and the initial force of the ball valve pre compression, which can improve the natural vibration frequency of the entire pipeline system, It shall be kept away from the pipeline vibration frequency caused by external interference, so as to avoid pipeline resonance and reduce the additional stress caused by pipeline vibration. The selection of the size of the damping ball valve damper of the generator set depends on the magnitude of the anti vibration force required to prevent pipeline vibration.
If the required anti vibration force can be calculated through pipeline dynamic analysis according to the quality, stiffness and periodic or impact force of the external acting on the pipeline, the specification of the valve ball valve shall be selected according to the calculated accurate value and the initial force of the ball valve preloading shall be determined. Otherwise, the specification of the generator set damping ball valve damper can be selected according to the nominal diameter of the pipeline. Calculate the total operating weight of the equipment: the operating weight after the sum of the static weight of the equipment and the counterweight times the safety factor (usually 1.3). Select the shock absorber according to the overall size of the equipment. Generally, the maximum distance between pneumatic butterfly valves should not exceed 2m. If the equipment base is irregular, pneumatic butterfly valves should also be arranged according to the equipment weight and stress distribution. If the equipment is biased, the shock absorber shall be unevenly distributed. The total running weight of the equipment is divided by the number of shock absorbers to get the load of each shock absorber. According to the calculated load, select the appropriate shock absorber model based on the principle of approaching the optimal load of the generator set damping ball valve shock absorber (generally, the optimal load of the generator set damping ball valve shock absorber is slightly greater than the shock absorber load to reduce the fatigue of the shock absorber.
