Product features

As its name implies, the pneumatic wafer butterfly valve is clamped between the flanges at both ends of the pipe by means of wafer, and then fixed with a group of bolts through the bolt holes. The pneumatic wafer type butterfly valve has a small body size and relatively thin body thickness, which is especially suitable for applications where the distance between the two ends of the pipeline is short or the space is limited. Pneumatic wafer butterfly valve can be divided into soft seal and metal seal according to different sealing structures. The soft seal butterfly valve is of medium linear structure, which has the advantages of corrosion prevention and zero leakage, while the hard seal butterfly valve is of three eccentric type, which has the advantages of less wear and long service life.

Principle of pneumatic wafer butterfly valve:
 
The pneumatic wafer butterfly valve is powered by 0.4-0.7MPa compressed air, which drives the valve stem to drive the disc plate to rotate 0-90 degrees in the valve body, so as to achieve full opening and full closing operation control of the butterfly valve. The pneumatic wafer butterfly valve can be equipped with a valve positioner for the actuator according to the requirements of the working condition, and input 4-20mA related signals to control the opening of the butterfly valve disc plate, so as to achieve accurate adjustment of the percentage of the pressure, flow, temperature, liquid level and other parameters of the medium in the pipeline. Pneumatic wafer butterfly valve can not only be used for local control in industrial automatic control system, but also for remote centralized control. It is one of the preferred system devices in industrial pipeline applications.

Instructions for installation of pneumatic wafer butterfly valve:
 
The pneumatic wafer butterfly valve cannot be used at the end of the pipeline and the downstream where disassembly is required, because when the downstream flange is disassembled, the wafer valve will fall off, and in this case, an additional nipple must be made for disassembly. The flange butterfly valve does not have the above problems, but the cost will be relatively high.
Pneumatic wafer butterfly valve and flange butterfly valve have the same purpose, both of which are used to switch or adjust the medium flow. Their difference lies in the installation form. When the pressure is too high, flange butterfly valve is generally recommended to be better, and flange butterfly valve is also recommended for dangerous fluids.
