3、 Installation and maintenance of butterfly valve
1. During installation, the valve disc shall be stopped at the closed position.
2. The opening position shall be defined according to the rotating angle of the butterfly plate.
3. For butterfly valve with inlet valve, the inlet valve shall be opened before opening.
4. The installation shall be carried out according to the installation and use instructions of the manufacturer, and the butterfly valve with net weight shall be set with solid foundation.
5. The butterfly plate of the butterfly valve is installed in the straight direction of the pipeline. In the cylindrical safety channel of the butterfly valve body, the disc shaped butterfly plate rotates around the center line with a rotation angle of 0 °~90 °. When the angle of rotation reaches 90 °, the valve is fully opened.
6. If the butterfly valve is specified as a flow monitoring application, the key is to properly select the valve size and type. The basic principle of butterfly valve structure is especially suitable for making large diameter valves. Butterfly valves are not only used in general industrial production such as crude oil, liquefied gas, chemical plants and sewage treatment, but also used in the cooling system of thermal power plants.
7. There are two common butterfly valves: wafer type butterfly valve and flange type butterfly valve.
Wafer type butterfly valve uses stud bolts to connect the valve between two pipeline flanges. Flange type butterfly valve uses anchor bolts to connect looper flanges on both sides of the valve to pipeline flanges.
8. The butterfly plate of the butterfly valve is installed in the straight direction of the pipeline. In the cylindrical safety channel of the butterfly valve body, the disc shaped butterfly plate rotates around the center line with a rotation angle of 0 °~90 °. When the angle of rotation reaches 90 °, the valve is fully opened.

When disassembling and installing the pneumatic butterfly valve, it is necessary to find the small bolts and nuts on the surface of the valve first, use tools to fix them firmly, then tighten all the nuts on the surface of the valve, and then use force to fix them at the designated position. For example, we can fix the nuts selected first, and then specify other nuts, If the nuts are fixed at the same time, the force on the valve surface will be uneven, and damage or fracture will occur. Eventually, the medium inside the valve leaked to the outside, affecting the normal operation of the machine.
