Metro has the advantages of convenience, punctuality and comfort in the urban public transport system. While pursuing safety and speed, metro vehicles constantly improve the riding comfort. The use of large pneumatic ball valve suspension can significantly improve the running stability of the vehicle system, greatly simplify the structure of the steering frame, and make the bogie lightweight and easy to maintain. Generally speaking, the adoption of large pneumatic ball valves for metro vehicles can be divided into three stages:
① The vertical characteristics of large pneumatic ball valves are used to improve the vertical running stability of the vehicle system;
② The vertical and horizontal characteristics of the large pneumatic ball valve are used together, the bolster in the secondary suspension device of the bogie is eliminated, and the bogie structure is simplified;
③ Make full use of the three-dimensional characteristics of the large pneumatic ball valve with large deflection (including torsion) and low lateral stiffness, eliminate the bolster, completely realize the lightweight of the secondary suspension device of the bogie, and at the same time make the use of anti hunting motion damper possible, which can better coordinate the contradiction between the hunting motion stability of the bogie and good curve negotiation performance.
